Sixth Grade ISTE Standards
Indiana has adopted the ISTE Standards for Students. They are called the NETS or National Educational Technology Standards.

Learning Expectations
6.1.1 Students will demonstrate an understanding of the nature and operation of technology systems.
a. Using Thinkpads, students will add bookmarks, and apps in Google Chrome.
b. Students will use Google Classroom and Drive to create folders, files, and store digital assignments.
6.1.2 Students will be proficiency in the use of technology.
a. Using Google Docs, students will perform basic functions: type, edit, and insert.
b. Import graphics and video with appropriate alignment.
6.1.3 Students will apply basic touch typing skills in using keyboard.
a. Using appropriate ergonomics, apply the touch system while using a keyboard.
6.3.2 Students will use productivity tools to prepare a technology-enhanced presentation.
a. Demonstrate appropriate use of fonts, color, styles, sizes, use of graphics, video, and page format to create a multimedia presentation using Prezi.
6.5 Student understands human, cultural, and societal issues related to technology and practice legal and ethical behavior.
a. Demonstrate personal responsibility while using a ThinkPad.
b. Exhibit digital citizenship and understand the importance of the EVSC acceptable use policy.
6.6.2 Students select and use applications effectively and productively.
a. Create a Prezi that can be shared with others in our community that demonstrates an understanding of the importance of being a digital leader.
